Is Fluent available now?
Yes. Use Fluent online; there's no charge right now. You can also run the open-source version yourself.
Do I need to switch AI assistants?
No. Fluent works with ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, OpenClaw, and other compatible AI apps. You keep talking to the assistant you already use.
Who is Fluent for?
Fluent is for people who want AI advice to take the right information into account for the question they are asking.
Today it is most useful for:
- meal planning, saved recipes, groceries, and household food preferences
- closet-aware style advice and purchase decisions
- simple grocery and clothing budgets
What can Fluent do today?
With Meals, your assistant can plan around your household, save recipes and approved meal plans, maintain a grocery list, and update it after you shop.
With Style, your assistant can answer questions using your closet, compare a possible purchase with what you own, and update or archive saved items and photos when you ask. If you set a clothing budget, it can consider that alongside your closet for a purchase decision.
You can also set a grocery budget so meal planning can account for grocery needs and spending together.
Should I use Fluent online or run it myself?
Use Fluent online if you want hosting, storage, authentication, and updates handled for you.
Run Fluent yourself if you want direct control over the server, storage, backups, and update timing.
Both options provide the same core Fluent features. See Choose Your Setup for a side-by-side explanation.
Does Fluent have visual cards or lists?
Yes. Compatible AI apps can show a visual Grocery List, Budget Setup, and Style Closet Manager. Every supported app presents the same information as text.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. You can request an export or permanently delete your Fluent account. If you run Fluent yourself, you control your own backups and storage. See Privacy & Data.
Where do I use Fluent?
Most of your time with Fluent happens inside your AI app. The website is where you sign in, connect an AI app, and manage your account.
How does Fluent work with budgeting or wardrobe apps?
Fluent gives your AI selected information for a decision. A clothing purchase can draw on your closet and clothing budget. A meal plan can draw on your tastes and preferences, current grocery needs, and grocery spending.
How much setup does Fluent need?
Start with one task. Ask for help planning this week’s meals or evaluating a purchase. Your assistant will ask for the few details it needs and can save them after you approve.
